About Me


Yongliang Liu holds a Ph.D. from the School of Journalism and Communication at Tsinghua University. He is currently funded by the Tsinghua Zijing Scholar Programme to conduct postdoctoral research at the University of Cambridge. He is also a Visiting Research Fellow at the East Asian Institute, National University of Singapore. 
His research focuses on media trust, digital journalism and risk communication. Yongliang has published over 20 peer-reviewed articles in both English and Chinese in leading journals, including Communication Research, Journalism, Journalism Practice, and Public Health. His work examines issues such as news media trust, Chinese journalism, and information behaviors in risk contexts. He has presented at major international conferences and has received multiple honors, including Top Paper Awards from AEJMC (2025), NCA (2024, 2025), and IAMCR (2023).
